Centre County (and other) amateur radio operators (ARO) have the opportunity to volunteer for two events on October 2, 2021; the Pennsylvania Environmental Council Public Lands Ride (Bicycle) and the ARRL Simulated Emergency Test.The Public Lands Ride will run from 0700 to 1700 in the Black Moshannon State Forest.  AROs will be stationed at checkpoints along the route to facilitate communications for the ride organizers.

WPA section of the ARRL will participate in the annual SET.  The exercise will simulate traffic handling for a weather event similar to Hurricane Ivan that occurred in 2004.
