Volunteers needed for the Annual Multiple Sclerosis Society Keystone Country Ride, July 20 and 21.

Centre County ARES (and Blair County) is looking for Amateur Radio operators to help with communications for the Annual Keystone Country (Bicycle) Ride of the local Multiple Sclerosis Society in Hollidaysburg, PA.  The dates of the event are Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.The ride starts on Saturday in Hollidaysburg and ends in State College.  Sunday the riders reverse direction.   Amateur radio operators provide communications at both ends of the route and during the ride in Support and Gear (SAG) wagons.  We have been instrumental in keeping race officials apprised on the course and conditions and have assisted in getting aid to situations as simple as flat tires or as serious as bicycle crashes.
